This Privacy Policy explains what information DocuZero ("we", "us") processes when you use this website (docuzero.com) and its tools, and the choices you have. We have designed DocuZero to collect as little as possible.

1. Your files never leave your device

Every file tool on DocuZero — PDF conversion, compression, splitting, merging, rotation, image conversion, resizing, cropping, OCR and QR generation — runs entirely inside your browser using open-source libraries. The files you open are processed locally on your own device and are never uploaded to, transmitted to, or stored on any DocuZero server. We never see, receive, or keep a copy of them.

2. Information we collect

We do not ask you to create an account and we do not collect names, email addresses or file contents. The only data processed about your visit is standard, aggregated usage information gathered through the third-party services below, and only where you have consented to the associated cookies.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

A cookie is a small text file stored by your browser. When you first visit, a consent banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. We use two categories:

• Strictly necessary — a single local storage entry that remembers your cookie choice. This is required for the site to respect your decision and is never used for tracking.
• Analytics and advertising — set by Google (see below) only after you click "Accept". If you decline, these are not loaded.

You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser, which brings the banner back on your next visit.

4. Google Analytics

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregated, anonymised traffic — for example how many people visit and which tools are popular. Google Analytics may set cookies and process a truncated version of your IP address. We do not use it to identify you personally. Google's handling of this data is governed by its own Privacy Policy.

5. Google AdSense

With your consent, this site may display ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, and review vendor choices at aboutads.info. If you decline cookies, personalised ads are not enabled through our consent flow.

6. Legal basis and your rights (EEA, UK and Switzerland)

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, our legal basis for analytics and advertising cookies is your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), which you give through the banner and can withdraw at any time. You have the right to:

• access the personal data processed about you;
• request rectification or erasure;
• restrict or object to processing;
• data portability;
• withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior lawful processing;
• lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Because most data is processed by Google as an independent service, requests that concern Google's records may need to be directed to Google. For anything we control, contact us using the details below.

7. Data retention

We do not store your files or personal profiles. Aggregated analytics data is retained by Google according to the retention period configured in Google Analytics and Google's own policies. Your cookie-consent choice stays in your browser until you clear it.

8. International transfers

The third-party providers named above are global services and may process data on servers outside your country, including the United States, under the safeguards described in their respective privacy policies.

9. Children

DocuZero is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date.
